California’s 1,600 native bee species depend on pollen and nectar from the state’s diverse native plant flora. Even in urban environments like our East Bay cities, we can find rich collections of bee species. Join Dr. Gordon Frankie, UC Berkeley entomologist and urban bee expert, to learn about native bees in the East Bay and how we can create habitat for them in our gardens. Bring your questions and curiosity: Dr. Frankie will focus his talk around audience members’ interests!
We’ll provide light refreshments after the presentation.
East Bay CNPS meetings are free of charge and open to everyone.
Hope to see you there!
