Unique species found nowhere else on Earth have evolved and flourished on these “sky islands,” but how will these isolated plants and animals adapt to a rapidly changing climate? Colin Barrows, the Conservation Coordinator at the Friends of the Desert Mountains, Santa Rosa/San Jacinto Mountains National Monument, explains.
