Christmas-in-May Bird Count—May 8th
Join us in the field on Saturday, May 8th, for a Christmas-in-May Bird Count! It’s like our Christmas Bird Count, only with Covid-19 protections in place and a little less structure than a CBC. May 8th is eBird’s Global Big Day, so your efforts will contribute to a worldwide tally of bird populations.
Choose from a San Francisco or Oakland/East Bay count. Because this is part of our annual Birdathon fundraiser, you’re invited to reach out to family/friends to support you and Golden Gate Audubon with a tax-deductible donation. (The fundraising is optional.)

Bonus: We’ll host a Zoom workshop on how to use eBird for count participants who are new to eBird or need a refresher. That will be on Sunday, May 2, at 7 p.m. Zoom link will be sent to Christmas-in-May registrants.
