Today I went birding along the Berkeley waterfront. I started at Gilman Street and included Berkeley Meadow, Seabreeze, Virginia Street Annex areas. I had twenty-seven species. I was surprised to find a White-fronted Goose on the soccer fields mixed in with a flock of Canada Goose. Most of the usual waterbirds were out but there was surprisingly few shorebirds. I saw 27 different birds.
