Death Valley National Park reports

Death Valley’s rams must have mistaken the location, but this is a super day to talk about bighorn sheep! These animals are especially adapted to survive in extreme desert conditions, including the hottest place on earth!
Male bighorns, or rams, will develop heavy horns that curl with age, whereas females, or ewes, will have thinner, less-pronounced horns. How can you help these animals when visiting? By respecting lambing closures, reducing your time spent close to springs, and if spotted, keeping a respectable distance. Learn more about rams and ewes:
