I went birding today at Albany mudflat and adjoining meadow in McLaughlin State Park on a Golden Gate Audubon field trip. The highlight for everyone was seeing a somewhat distant Burrowing Owl. I have 34 birds on my list but I am sure the group totals will be higher.
