Molas Pass – a bit past peak, still good pockets
Silverton/Red Mtn Pass – past peak
Pagosa – a bit past peak, still good pockets
Dolores to Lizard Head Pass – 80% in the river valley
Mancos/La Platas – a bit past peak, still good pockets
San Jun Skyway- a bit past peak, still good pockets
Areas with Greatest Amount of Color / Recommended Viewing Areas:
Ridgeway/Dallas Divide/Telluride
Buckles Lake south of PagosaEstimated Peak Viewing Period:
Not much left but still some good pockets of colorViewing Suggestions / Tips:
Telluride and north still good for a bit more.

I was quite surprised to see this also. My only guess is the reporter was sketchy. At least on one of the reports. You might contact the Forest Service directly and see what they say.
