Bishop Creek Fall Color 9/13/16

Where to photograph in California – Yahoo Groups  (Calphoto) has a fall color report for the Bishop Creek Area. Here are some excerpts

Most aspen on dry moraine and talus slopes along South Lake at 9,900 feet are turning yellow that is normal for mid September.  Aspen on wet seeps or along creeks are still totally green.  Down the canyon, aspen on same type slopes above Table Mountain campground and Tyee Lakes trailhead are similar mostly changing to yellow while aspen, cottonwood, and creek dogwood near Parchers Camp are totally green.

Also in the High Sierra timberline areas as I just visited, dwarf bilberry and arctic willow were at peak.  Will be a couple weeks before I update my site for that trip.
