Wildflowers in Plumas County, CA has a number of new posts and photos today. Below are some of the highlights
hiking up behind Taylorsville. She was loaded with dogwood blooms!
Scarlet Fritillary is showing on the Old Road, just about 50-75′ after you turn on to it from Highway 70. I saw more today along Spanish Creek just before the bridge on the left hand side and just before Oakland Camp on the right hand side not to mention a couple Coral Root plants, which is a member of the Orchid family. Also, if you go way past Oakland Camp to the large open area by the creek, there are tons of Showy Phlox, Lupine, Purple Larkspur ‘and Checkerspot!
The magical snow plant seems to be bursting through to the sun all around the county.
