Rio Grande National Forest Fall Color 10/13/15

Rio Grande National Forest reports

Conejos Peak District   October 13, estimate colors are already at 60%, The Conejos  Canyon changing fast this year, all fall color will be over in about two weeks.  2013 Photos   2015 Photos

Divide District              October 11, the upper Rio Grande area, west of Creede is about 90% over, the leaves are starting to fall. The cottonwood and aspen in the lower elevations are at their peak color.            2013 photos    2014 photos   2015 photos

Saguache District          October 4, there is good color along 41g, but is about 75 – 80% change along the visible portions from the road. County Roads NN14 and 41G should be good for those wanting to go check out the leaf changes in the Saguache District.  Also LL56 up to Bonanza.     2013 photos   2014 photos  2015 photos
