Birding Creekside Park 9/26/15

This morning we went back to Creekside Park in Albany, CA. It was cooler and earlier than my last visit and was able to identify 20 bird species.

I had read reports from earlier in the week that reported Chestnut-backed, Orange-crowned, Yellow, Townsend’s and Yellow-rumped Warblers. Only able to find , Townsend’s and Yellow-rumped Warblers and a possible Orange-crowned but look was not definitive. Quite a few bird sounds that was unable to identify.

It is an urban park with a mixed habitat of woodland and creek. There are both native and alien trees and shrubs including Willow, Buckeye, Coast Live Oak, Coyote Bush, Blue Elderberry with berries, Eucalyptus, Blackberry, Rose with rosehips, Big Leaf Maple, Liquidamber, Madrone and Sycamore.
