Last week’s Trinity Alps hikes included Swift Creek, Alpine Lake and Canyon Creek Lakes. Spring was in full bloom and included lots of California pitcher plants attracting bog-loving pollinators, Penstemon roezlii, Penstemon newberryi, Delphinium nuttalli, Lewisia cotelydon, Lupinus crocea, and Calochortus nudus, among others.
