Carrizo Plain National Monument 2/27/15

Carrizo Plain National Monument reports

February 27, 2015 – The are some flowers on the monument at this time. There are not fields/carpets of flowers; mostly you will see patches of wildflowers as you explore the monument. Flowers we have seen include: fiddleneck, hillside daisy, filaree, coreopsis, poppies, goldfields, desert candle and phacelia, with the majority being fiddleneck.
