“Ask a Botanist” day at Death Valley is tomorrow Feb. 11, 2015 on Facebook. Here is the post and how to participate
Do you have questions about the plants of Death Valley? Well, on February 11th you will have the opportunity to ask your questions to one of our vegetation experts LIVE! Ideas for questions include but are not limited to plant identification, vegetation communities, rare plants or invasive plants. On the afternoon of the “Ask a Botanist” session, we will make a post where you can upload your questions or pictures in the comments section. The session will only last 1 hour so have your questions ready!
When: Wednesday February 11, 2015 1:00-2:00p (PST)
Rules:
– Please keep all questions in line with the topic. Non-plant questions will not be addressed and hidden from the thread.
– Be respectful to others’ questions and opinions. Any kind of personal attacks will not be tolerated and will result in you getting banned from the Facebook Page!
– Feel free to upload photos into the comment section if you would like to have them identified. Please note plants are sometimes difficult to I.D. The difference between one species and another could be as simple as having tiny hairs on the stem, so the more detail in the photographs will make it easier for the Botanist to accurately identify the plant in the picture.
To participate go to Death Valley National Park.
