- San Francisco Peninsula: Crystal Springs Reservoir
- South Bay Area: Lexington Reservoir/Siera Azul Open Space Preserve
- East Bay foothills: Lake Chabot, Los Vaqueros Reservoir
- North Bay: Petaluma Marsh Wildlife Area
- North state: Lower Klamath National Wildlife Refuge, Eagle Lake, Shasta Lake, Lewiston Lake, Big Lake/Fall River (Ahjumawi Lava Springs State Park), Lake Britton, Lake Almanor, Scott River, Trinity Lake
- Sierra foothills: Camanche Lake, New Melones Reservoir, Don Pedro Reservoir, Lake Tulloch
- Tahoe Basin: Truckee River corridor, Boca Lake
- Central coast: Lake San Antonio

I spotted 9 Bald Eagles at the Sacramento Valley Wildlife Preserve 2 weeks ago. Young and old.
