Rocky Mountain Fall Color 9/20/14

Rocky Mt. Nature Photographer Net has two new fall color updates for 9/20/14

the last few days of chasing the color here in NW Colorado is that the colors are coming on really fast—but in pockets and areas—not forests overall, the aspens are healthy, and the undergrowth is substantial and brilliant.

The aspens on the east side of Independence Pass are near peak, the only green is down low by the lake, most everything else is yellow. The Aspen side is still 90% green except at the highest elevations where they are mostly yellow.
Between Leadville and Copper Mountain the aspens are also peaking with most everything already yellow.
