The LA Times recently wrote about development near the Grand Canyon that would greatly alter views, dramatically change the visitor experience and threaten the limited water supplies. Proposed developments include restaurants, hotels, homes, commercial space and even a gondola to the bottom of the canyon in areas near the national park.
