Birds Learn To Choose Best Nesting Materials

Recent Research published  in the Proceedings of the Royal Society Journal Proceedings B challenges the assumption that bird choice of nesting materials is genetically predetermined. The study found that birds choose of nesting materials was at least in part learned. Nesting material choice was based on the structural qualities of the materials.
