Desert Wildflower Reports – DesertUSA has the following new wildflower reports for Arizona
Grand Canyon North Rim reports: North Rim, April is usually cold and blustery, with snow and sleet storms still occurring. This year our winter snowpack didn’t happen, and spring is atypically warm and sunny. The plants have responded and almost a month earlier than usual our aspens have leafed out and the manzanitas behind the lodge have bloomed! We are excited for opening day, just two weeks away now on May 15th. Everything will be beautiful for those first visitors!
April 30 on Highway 389 just east of the Coxcomb before you get to Page, Arizona. The wildflowers are in their final stages. Too late for photos. I was hiking in the area.
