Oregon Wildflowers reports for Camassia Natural Area.

If you are interested in visiting Camassia, now is the time. The meadows are awash with blue, pink, and white, dominated by: Common Camas (Camassia quamash), Rosy Plectritis (Plectritis congesta), Large-flowered Blue-eyed Mary (Collinsia grandiflora), and Western Saxifrage (Saxifraga occidentalis). Also in bloom are Wood Violets (Viola glabella), Western Buttercup (Ranunculus occidentalis var. occidentalis), Candy Flower Claytonia sibirica), False Solomon’s-Seal (Maianthemum racemosum), Star-Flowered Solomon’s-Seal (Maianthemum stellatum), Slender Toothwort (Cardamine pulcherrima), Wild Strawberry (Fragaria virginiana), Bigroot (Marah oreganus), and Disappointing Buttercup (Ranunculus uncinatus). There are a few remaining Western Trillium (Trillium ovatum) and Oregon Fawn Lily (Erythronium oregonum), but those are well past peak. It is still much too early for the White Rock Larkspur (Delphinium leucophaeum).
