The BBC has a photographic slideshow of the top birds from the Royal Society for the Protection of Birds annual Big Garden Birdwatch. The survey is held every January in the UK and had close to half a million participants this year. Even though there is concern over its population is declining, the house sparrow was the most spotted bird.
