Borregohiking.com has the following hike description for Pinyon Canyon and Harper Dams in Anza-Borrego Desert State Park:
Start at the end of the Pinyon road and hike up the Pinyon canyon, cross Harper flat, turn right and end up a the Harper dams.
A real nice narrow canyon with some obstacles.
Back along the Pinyon Mountain rd, to take a look at Hard attack hill, man what a steep drop.
Down in a small canon, where the old shack is located.
Watch out for the Chaparral Dodder, that looks dead, but is actually blooming.
A lot of Specter Phacelia along the hike.
