Great White Sharks Can Live 70 Years.

The BBC reported on the discovery that Great White Sharks can live in their 70s. A new technique measured the age of the shark’s tissue. This discovery means white sharks may now be among the longest-lived of all cartilaginous fish.

Great White Sharks have often received bad press and have been under increased pressure from hunting. They are considered a “vulnerable”species by the IUCN list of threatened species.
