Chattahoochee-Oconee Nat. Forest Fall Color 11/4/13

Chattahoochee-Oconee National Forest has a November 4, 2013 fall color update.

Peak color is fading in the upper elevations of the north Georgia mountains but is still good in the lower mountain and foothills.
Even with rain this past Friday and a breezy weekend, there’s still some fall color that makes a trip to the mountains worth while. Color is at peak levels in the Armuchee Ridges on the far western reaches of the Chattahoochee National Forest between La Fayette and Dalton. A drive along the Ridge and Valley Scenic Byway is a great way to take in the unique part of Georgia.
Other good drives will be along Georgia Highway 52 anywhere between Chatsworth and Dahlonega.
