Hoosier National Forest has a new fall color report for 10/28/13
The Hoosier continues to move toward the elusive peak fall color viewing season. In places on the Forest it appears we’re already there, some roads are aflame with bright yellows and oranges and splashes of red from maples which brighten your autumn drives. However in other areas the forest is holding fast to the greens of summer with only minor changes. A late fall warm spell this week may keep fall at bay a bit longer but surely peak colors are just around the corner and at this point the Forest is at 50 percent fall color.
