Superior National Forest has the following fal color report for October 22, 2013

We are into the trailing edge of the fall season, getting our first look at snow last Friday.  Some leaves still are clinging to trees, but the majority have fallen.  The woods are still lovely, and the smell of fall is rich in the air.  It may not be the traditional peak, but it is still a wonderful fall.
