Asheville NC Fall Foliage Color Leaf Report 2013 has the following fall color update for October 16, 2013:
Looks like peak color over most of the mountains will be a little later than usual (great news for procrastinators). Most of our nights have been mild, and we need some cold to speed up the change. Great drives this weekend will be NC Highway 215 and US 276, the Forest Heritage Scenic Byway. Much of the Parkway will have the best color during the next two weeks. And the entire Great Smoky Mountains National Park reopens today!
