Asheville NC Fall Foliage Color Leaf Report 2013 has a new update for 10/7/13

This week, find the best color above 4,000 feet elevation. We recently found the best color now at Mt. Mitchell State Park (fully open) and that section of the Blue Ridge Parkway (see pic on right). Another area for color is Rough Ridge on the Parkway near Grandfather Mountain. See fall color photos from October 3! A small section of the Blue Ridge Parkway in Asheville closed today due to road erosion. Read more about the detour.
