US Closes Federal Recreation Sites

Yesterday I wrote about the National Parks closing. Here are updates on other US Federal recreation sites that are closed as part of the government shutdown.

U.S. Forest Service: Offices and Forest Service visitor centers are closed. Some campgrounds are already in seasonal closure. Many other campgrounds are operated by concessionaires, so they could remain open at the option of the concessionaire.

U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service: Offices and wildlife refuges will close, in a similar fashion as with the National Park Service.

Bureau of Land Management: Offices, parks and campgrounds are closed.

Bureau of Reclamation
(and U.S. Army Corps of Engineers): Parks and visitor centers at dams and on reservoirs are closed.
