Wind Energy Project To Decrease Risk To Eagles

The Sacramento Bee reported  that a wind energy project in California is making efforts to decrease the risk to Golden Eagles.  Although some eagle will likely still be killed by turbine blades, power lines will be modified to prevent eagles from being electrocuted. It is possibly the first wind energy project to do so. More Golden Eagles are killed by wind turbines in California than in any other state.
