Allen Cay in the Bahamas is an important breeding site for the Audubon’s Shearwater and home of an eponymous endemic iguana, has been declared free of the invasive house mice which were threatening both species. The alien mice led to an increase in Barn Owl presence who not only ate the mouse but also Shearwaters and young Iguanas.
