Arizona SR 288, Young Highway Wildflower Report 5/30/13

Wild in Arizona has a new wildflower report for state Route 288:

As the deserts start to seed out there is a great opportunity for the next few weeks to cover a lot of wildflowers in Arizona on one road, State Route 288. Saguaros and Palo Verde are still blooming from the Salt River to Parker Cliffs along SR 288. Try Cherry Creek Road and A Cross Rd. for some more remote locations. After the Parker Cliffs you will find Yucca and New Mexican Locust in peak bloom now. Follow the road north into the pines and make a right on Workman Creek for Yellow Columbine and Purple Myrtle. For directions and map look on page 164 of Wild in Arizona Photographing Arizona’s Wildflowers.
