The BBC reported that a heavily armed gang killed a number of elephants at the Dzanga-Ndoki National Park, which is a World Heritage Site in the Central African Republic. It is believed the gang were Sudanese ivory poachers, who have been operating in the area and are taking advantage of the lawlessness in this area.
