calphoto : Where to photograph in California has a report that there is an excellent lupine bloom in Knowland Park in Oakland, California. The lupine are found near the giant fairy ring area which is near the Snowdown entrance area.
Knowland Park has recently been threatened by a possible expansion of the Oakland Zoo. You learn more about this at: Help Save Knowland Park!.

The lupines were beautiful! They’re in the grassland – a taste of what California used to be like. Thanks for helping get the word out about Knowland Park. It’s still gravely threatened by development – for more info, see saveknowland.org. Keep it real, keep it wild, keep it open!
