DesertUSA has the new wildflower reports for Arizona
April 23, 2013 Saguaro National Park East reports: The blooming of perennial shrubs and cacti are in full swing! As yellow flowers like brittlebush are fading, the fire-engine-red ocotillo is now found along the drive. The earliest cactus blossoms are also in evidence, including brilliant magenta flowers of the Hedgehog Cactus, red-orange Staghorn Cholla and bright yellow Engelmann’s Prickly-Pear. At least a few Saguaro blossoms have been reported.
April 23, 2013 Patagonia Lake State Park reports: Larkspur, Mexican Gold Poppies and more in bloom at the park.
