Mission Peak Wildflower Report 4/13/13 -updated 4/15/13

Updated 4/15/13 with photo link

The Calphoto Forum has the following wildflower report for Mission Peak:

hiked Mission Peak from the east, Sunol, side. Gorgeous hike, lots of flowers. On one hand ‘easy’, ie, wide, flat fire road almost all the way. Also difficult in that it is a 10 1/2 mile hike w/ 2000 ft. up and down elevation change. Lots of variety (sorry, no list) including some large fields of poppy, lupine, buttercup and goldfields. Here’s a link to the hike itself. http://www.everytrail.com/guide/sunol-wilderness-to-mission-peak
