Joe Willis, who some of you may know from his blog, black oak naturalist, will be leading a nature journaling workshop at the Feather River Art Camp from June 16 to 23,2013.
Nature Journaling ~ with Joe Willis
Exploring the world of Journaling, through sketching, writing and photography, aids in improving our powers of observation and contemplation of what is around us in the spectacular landscape and habitat of the Feather River Camp.
We look at examples of journals done by great naturalists as well as some contemporary writers who like to draw and artists who like to write.
On daily walks we discover and record the incredible biodiversity available in our immediate surroundings.
As a bonus, the instructor will provide a handsome and useful booklet with illustrations and photos that will include suggestions for follow-up activities after the class is over.
