Natural History Wanderings

April 12, 13 & 14 is the Third Annual Ridgecrest Desert Wildflower Festival in the High Desert City of Ridgecrest,California It is located in the Indian Wells Valley of Northeastern Kern County. The Festival expands on the Maturango Museum’s long running Wildflower Show and includes:

• nature’s beautiful floral display in the surrounding foothills and the Mojave Desert
• Keynote lecture by Kathy LaShure on “The Thrill of the Hunt: Two Seasons of Rare Plant Treasure Hunts”
• prsentations and workshops
• arts, crafts, performers, vendors, hand-on-activities,  geocaching and tour guides.
