Carrizo Plain National Monument reports
April 1, 2013 – The weather continues to be dry on the monument. You might find a few flowers here and there, but no fields of flowers. Due to the lack of rain we aren't expecting a good show of flowers this year.
Natural History Wanderings 
Bummer! I’d hoped some of these passing rains would have given the plains some life. I’m heading down for a brief trip in a couple of weeks, nevertheless.
