Mojave National Preserve has a new wildflower report for March 29, 2013
Joshua trees are still blooming very well along Cima Road, the southern portion of Morning Star Mine Rd, and the western portion of Cedar Canyon Road.
Mojave Yucca are blooming along Kelso-Cima and Morningstar Mine Road.
Desert dandelion, Desert chicory, Desert globe-mallow, and Fremont pincushion is blooming along Kelso-Cima Road.
The following species have been seen blooming in Devil’s Playground and along Kelbaker Road north of Kelso: Canterbury bells, Chis, Gilia, Turpentine broom, Beavertail cactus, Filaree, Wild rhubarb, Fremont pincushion, Desert chicory, Joshua tree, Mojave yucca, Brown-eyed primrose, Bird-cage primrose, Prickly poppy, Desert plantain, Coyote tobacco, Desert marigold, Desert sunflower, Desert dandelion, Fiddleneck, Desert gold-poppy, Desert senna, Desert globe-mallow, Desert lavender, and Bladderpod.
Mojave mound cactus are starting to bloom around Hole-in-the-Wall and are budding along Teutonia Peak trail.
