Washington Wildflower Report: Baldy-Yakima Canyon 3/17/13

Washington Trails association has a  report for Baldy-Yakima Canyon 3/17/13. Here is an excerpt:

Baldy-Yakima Canyon Even though it is early, we spotted quite a few flowers blooming today including: Yellow bells, Goldstar, Sagebrush buttercup, Prairie Star, Sagebrush violet, Daggerpod, Gray’s desert parsley, Canby’s desert parsley, Gorman’s lomatium, and wooly-pod locoweed. The prairie lupine and balsamroot already had buds, and we spotted several patches of cacti on the way up. The rock garden, mid-way up, will also be full of bitterroot and buckwheat blooms later this year.
