Protections Urged For Wolves and California Bobcats

On March 5,  52 U.S. House members sent a letter to the director of the U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service urging an about-face on the agency’s anticipated proposal to remove federal protections for wolves across most of the lower 48 United States. Assemblyman Richard Bloom (D-Santa Monica) introduced,  AB 1213, a  proposed state law that would ban trapping of bobcats for commercial purposes. This was in response to the thousands of people angered by the recent discovery of bobcat traps set along the boundaries of the national park. Read more in the L.A.
