Spring Is Starting In Tilden

I had a break midday today and impatiently waiting for spring went up the Regional Parks Botanic Garden in Tilden Park in Berkeley to see what was in bloom. I found  Ceanothus, Silk Tassels and many Manzanitas still in bloom. Wallflowers, Fuchsia-flowered Gooseberries, and even shooting stars are now in bloom. Not lots of flowers but at least enough to satisfy by flower photography appetite and know that spring is on the way. Also flying about were Gold-crowned Sparrow, Scrub Jays, Black Phoebe, Dark-eyed Junco, Anna’s Hummingbird, a Mourning Cloak butterfly.
