Proposed Protection For Gunnison Sage-Grouse

The Environmental News Service reported that the U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service proposed giving the Gunnison Sage-Grouse protected status under the Endangered Species Act. The protection would include designated 1.7 million acres as critical habitat to hopefully stop the grouse’s population decline.
