Great color all along highway from Meyers to Tahoe City. Road to Tallac Trailhead fantastic, as is Fallen Leaf Road. Blackwood Canyon Road, about 4 miles south of Tahoe City is gorgeous, aspen and Cottonwoods. Upper Truckee River Road gorgeous. Turn south just west of Truckee river. Go to area near bridge where road turns east. 89 to Luther Pass, 88 to Markleville and to Silver Lake in the westerly direction, all good. Some aspen near Sorenson’s have lost their leaves. Gorgeous patch of RED aspen just west of 88 and 89 junction. To my eye it is happening right now.
