ScienceDaily reported that a new bird species has been discovered in the Peruvian in a montane cloud forest in the Andes.
The Sira Barbet, Capito fitzpatricki, is a colorful bird with a black mask, pale belly and scarlet breast. It was discovered by group of Cornell University graduates and was sponsored by the Cornell Lab of Ornithology.
