Portola Redwoods State Park has received $100,000 from three nonprofit groups, which will allow it to stay open until July 2013. There is no longer term plan for funding in place at this time.
This makes 31 state parks that will remain open from the original list of 70 parks scheduled to be closed. State official are negotiating deals to keep another 25 parks open.
