Who Has The Most Species? Rainforests Or European Grasslands

Science Daily reports that Eastern European Grasslands which have as many species as Tropical Rainforests. International ecologists studied records and found that in Eastern European from the German border through Romania “.. long-grazed or mown grasslands are the most species rich places on Earth” This was based on looking at smaller areas (1 mm² up to 1 hectare).  When surveying larger areas (greater than 50 m²) the tropical rainforests had the richest number of species.
