Hite Cove and Jepson Prairie Wildflower Reports

The Sacramento Bee has a wildflower bloom update from Dave Henry. He reports on the Jepson Prairie Preserve and Hite Cove Trail. He reports:

Jepson Prairie Preserve “still has a few flowers blooming, but the grass is waist-high and has crowded out most wildflowers…. you will find numerous elegant brodiaea, some goldfields and a few scattered yellow mariposa lilies.”

The Hite Cove Trail “There aren’t vast sheets of wildflower color, but if you look closely you will find some of the more rare species”
