Legislation Introduced To Help California State Parks

The Sierra Club reports on three legislative bills to help increase funding and generate revenues for California State Parks. Proposed legislation includes guaranteed levels of funding for state parks, modernizing and improving fee collection, fee generating state park license plates and a state park pass that could be purchased when filing state tax returns. Proposed legislation would also require more careful study about how decisions are made to close parks including the negative economic impacts of closing state parks.
